The promise made by Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) to cede 60 per cent of his cabinet appointments to women and youths has being described as unnecessary and a proof that the campaign of political parties are still devoid of innovations and depth.
Mr. Moses Idika, a guest on ATN Politics while commenting of Atiku's promise, said instead of focusing of offering appointments youths and women into offices, he should be telling Nigerians what he will do to enable both women and youths excel in the choice areas of endeavours.
He said, it was senseless to appoint women and youths as cabinet ministers and Special Assistants (SAs) and still sustain anti-youths and women policies that have kept Nigeria down.
Atiku at the unveiling of the SHE Campaign championed by his wife, Titi Abubakar had promised to cede 60 per cent of cabinet appointments in his administration to women and youths if elected president of Nigeria in 2023
